For the upcoming Italian Republic Day, the ItalianChamber of Commerce in Morocco has invited Mr Giovanni Rana to attend the ceremony which will be held on 3 June 2008 at the Italian General Consulate in Casablanca.
The event, which will also be attended by Fabrizio Nonis, will see the participation of the Italian community in Morocco and selected Moroccan guests, the expression of the local entrepreneurial, professional and political community.
For the occasion, Rana products will be served, as an example of the fines tradition of Italian gastronomy and as a promotional activity on the Moroccan market. Also present at the event will be the newly elected President of the Friuli Venezia Giulia?Region, Mr Renzo Tondo.

Terre dei Dogi in festa 2008

The weekend of 9, 10 and 11 May will see the return in Portogruaro of the event "Terre dei Dogi in festa", a food and wine festival of eastern Veneto. The historical centre of Portogruaro will host the antique market, stands for tasting Lison Pramaggiore DOC?wines and typical products of eastern Veneto, shows and entertainment. This year, a window will also be opened on the world of roses and gardens, with a dedicated exhibition and events.

Wednesday 10 October, starting at 8:00 pm, the vice-director of TG5, in the international cultural and artistic setting of Villa San Carlo Borromeo, will tell guests the enthralling story of his trip. With pleasant conversation, a glass of fine wine and excellent meat selected by Fabrizio Nonis and admirably prepared by Aristide De Vita, chef of the restaurant The City, and Stefano Sangion, chef of the University of Tastes in Perugia, Toni Capuozzo will tell you of the curiosity, the enthusiasm and the illusions of two youths who, at the end of the 1970s left for Latin America in search of the legend of the Cuban revolution.
